The long non coding RNA’s (lncRNA) are closely associated with human disorders and diseases like cancer, brain function and hereditary disease.
Circular (circ) RNAs have recently emerged as a novel class of non coding transcripts whose identification and function remain elusive.
Initially, this software was developed using 188 cancer samples from 4 cancer types and enabled us to identify important non-coding variants which would otherwise be undervalued or perhaps even completely ignored by traditional methods and annotators.
The non-coding genome has previously been regarded as “junk” DNA; however, emerging evidence suggests that the non-coding genome accounts for some of the greater biological complexity observed in mammals.
Furthermore, we discuss how non-coding genetic variation affects gene expression by altering transcription factor binding through local and domain-wide mechanisms.
