Stable Polyurethane 稳定的聚氨酯 - The thermostable polyurethane is a material used in the modeling sector and is currently replacing structural parts in control models of the automobile and aeronautics sector, for its ease of machining, in addition to providing good mechanical properties. [1] Thus, aims of this work were (i) to modify the surface of soft biostable polyurethane-based model implants (TPCU and TSiPCU) with high-molecular weight hyaluronic acid (HA) using an optimized multistep strategy of immobilization, and (ii) to evaluate bioactivity of the modified TPCUs in vitro. [2] Strategies to design biostable polyurethanes are briefly reviewed to understand the effect of the polyurethane chemical structure on mechanical properties and resistance to degradation based on reported in vitro and in vivo data. [3] SiPUU with PHMO-MDI-PHMO and PHMO-IPDI-PHMO linked macrodiols showed enhanced creep resistance and recovery when compared with a commercial biostable polyurethane, Elast-Eon™ 2A. [4] A castable polyurethane (PUR) with soft segment made by polytetrahydrofuran polyol (or polytretramethylene ether glycol = PTMEG) derived from renewable sources was used as polymer matrix to prepare neutron shields.
