Satellite Transmitters(卫星发射机)研究综述
Satellite Transmitters 卫星发射机 - The complexity of behaviours revealed by direct observations of sea turtles and animal-borne cameras can also be examined using UAV footage, complementing studies using electronic tags, such as time-depth recorders and satellite transmitters. [1] We gathered natural history data, tracked caiman movements using satellite transmitters, and characterized feeding ecology via stable isotope analysis. [2] A variety of methods, including banding, genetic analyses, stable isotope analyses, and tracking with radio or satellite transmitters, are currently being used to study bat migration. [3] : The intracoelomic implantation of satellite transmitters is associated with lower survival in surf scoters (Melanitta perspicillata) compared with other species of diving ducks, potentially due to physiologic alterations following physical exertion and stress caused by handling and confinement. [4] Over the same period, identification photos were taken for 76 of these tagged individuals and 38 were fitted with satellite transmitters. [5] We tracked 33 adult Whimbrels with satellite transmitters for 12,802 bird-days to investigate patterns in survival and recorded 16 probable and 5 confirmed mortalities. [6] , with radio tags or satellite transmitters). [7] Satellite transmitters were attached in 2018 to six Atlantic green turtles nesting on Bioko Island, Equatorial Guinea, to track their post-nesting movements and locate their foraging grounds. [8] Thus, actual emergence locations for LHX and other pop-up satellite transmitters are hard to accurately determine. [9] Satellite transmitters were placed on nine King Rails captured in Ohio (USA). [10] We used satellite transmitters with saltwater switches to track movements and estimate dive behavior among non-breeding common murres (Uria aalge) off Oregon prior to and during a marine heatwave. [11] We equipped 17 landfill‐foraging gulls with satellite transmitters and collected gull faecal samples longitudinally from four locations on the Kenai Peninsula, Alaska to assess: (a) gull attendance and transitions between sites, (b) spatiotemporal prevalence of faecally shed AMR E. [12] For the monitoring and possible prevention of poisoning, the use of precise and intensive data collection via satellite transmitters was introduced. [13] Objective To examine site-based differences in space use for 24 adult Pacific harbor seals captured and outfitted with satellite transmitters at two predominant haulout sites on the Oregon Coast, USA. [14] From 2007 to 2016, a total of the 64 wigeons, which wintered in Japan, were equipped with satellite transmitters. [15] A total of 14 individuals were tracked with the aid of GPS (Geographical positioning system) satellite transmitters, and their sexes were identified using DNA analysis. [16]
Mounted Satellite Transmitters
Backpack-mounted satellite transmitters (PTTs) are used extensively in the study of avian habitat use and of the movements and demography of medium- to large-bodied species, but can affect individuals’ performance and fitness. [1] To quantify movement and understand their distribution in the southern California Bight, JWS were captured and fitted with dorsal fin-mounted satellite transmitters (SPOT tags; n = 18). [2]
Using Satellite Transmitters
Using satellite transmitters, we traced spring and autumn migration routes and connectivity of Grey Plovers on the East Atlantic Flyway. [1] Using satellite transmitters, we tracked sixteen migratory great spotted cuckoos (Clamator glandarius) of both sexes for up to three years. [2]
Powered Satellite Transmitters
In 2015–2017, we used solar‐powered satellite transmitters to track the migration of 32 great knots (Calidris tenuirostris), an “Endangered” shorebird species widely distributed in the Flyway and fully dependent on intertidal habitats for foraging during the non‐breeding season. [1] To address these questions, we equipped 9 Marbled Godwits breeding at a site near Ugashik, Alaska, with solar-powered satellite transmitters. [2]
