Roman Road(罗马路)研究综述
Roman Road 罗马路 - High-resolution sonar imaging helps discover a Roman road and possibly a dock structure in the Venice Lagoon. [1] In the case study, three methods are applied: (a) least‐cost path analysis on elevation data to construct journeys and travel times for Roman roads; (b) network analysis to find seafaring routes valid for ancient times; and (c) the integration of spatial and temporal data in a space‐time cube. [2] To address these gaps for application to certain historical problems, a model for malaria risk in the Roman world is constructed and extended to project risk for travellers on Roman roads. [3] Dere Street is the Roman road which ran north from Eboracum (York), crossing the Stanegate at Corbridge and continuing into what is now Scotland. [4] The correlation between the production site and its stones’ dispersion throughout the Roman Empire is of great interest for understanding the vast network of Roman roads, their manageability of commerce, and the organization of their products to the outlying areas of their Empire and in the case of this discovery, specifically to the area of Abruzzo Italy. [5] Concise assessments of urbanistic trends appear all too infrequently: ‘While the Roman roads [of Scythopolis] were generally straight and angles were disguised with tetrapylons, arches, or other monuments, the late antique builders were willing to employ curved roads that followed terrain, rather than cutting through the town’s topography, as at Gerasa’ (pp. [6] The settlement was identified during prospecting work linked to the roman road that crosses this valley. [7] It explores the role of soldiers and physicians in the spatial dissemination of the cult along the transportation network of Roman roads in the border provinces of Britannia, Germania Superior and Inferior, Raetia, Noricum, Pannonia Superior and Inferior, Moesia Superior and Inferior, and Dacia. [8] Roman roads are among the best-known examples of ancient networks of paths and have been widely studied using such approaches. [9] The Iter 34 (Antonine Itinerary XXXIV) is the name of the Roman road that crosses the province of Álava from west to east. [10] Recent analysis of a large faunal assemblage from a Roman roadside settlement at Ware, Hertfordshire has indicated potentially strong links between the nature of animal exploitation on site and its location on Ermine Street. [11] This work introduces the results of a geoarchaeological study about a large segment of a Roman road (i. [12] A stretch of the Roman road between Corduba and Emerita runs through the modern region of Alto Guadiato in the province of Cordoba (Spain). [13]
roman road system
The place names evoke the journey’s multilingual soundscape, while also offering a framework for comparing sites connected by the Roman road system and its milestones (which the cups resemble). [1] In addition to these site-specific research projects, a joint project between the University of Warsaw and the ÖAI is being developed, which aims to understand the connection between the Roman road system and early medieval migration. [2] ) The paper aims to contribute to the reconstruction of the Roman road system in the Savuto-Reventino region (west-central Calabria, Southern Italy). [3]
