Retrieval Evaluation 检索评估 - This report gives an overview on the Forum for Information Retrieval Evaluation (FIRE) initiative for South-Asian languages1. [1] The effectiveness of these systems varies and is only known through retrieval evaluation and the main approach of evaluating these systems is the test collection model which comprises of a corpus of documents, topics and relevance judgments. [2] In this research work, we propose and construct a standard test collection of Urdu documents for IR evaluation and named it Collection for Urdu Retrieval Evaluation (CURE). [3] Experimental analysis using Music Information Retrieval Evaluation Exchange (MIREX) datasets show that based on human auditory effect achieve great results for multimedia audio signals and has more robust performance on complicated scene. [4] This system’s collection has been tested and evaluated by COVID-19 Malay Corpus documents, stopwords list, Malay root words, terms weighting, indexing result, Malay natural language query list, relevant judgment list, relevant queries feedback, and retrieval evaluation by using precision and recall. [5] We examine the “goodness” of ranked retrieval evaluation measures in terms of how well they align with users’ Search Engine Result Page (SERP) preferences for web search. [6] In particular, fine-tuning pretrained contextual language models has shown impressive results in recent biomedical retrieval evaluation campaigns. [7] With the aim of bridging this gap, in this paper, we developed REGIS (Retrieval Evaluation for Geoscientific Information Systems), a test collection for the geoscientific domain in Portuguese. [8] As part of the Ed4 retrieval evaluation, the average properties are compared with those from other algorithms and the differences between individual reference data and matched Ed4 retrievals are explored. [9] Empirically, we demonstrate that the proposed method achieves up to 50%-100% reduction in the Mean Squared Error for the graph similarity approximation task and up to 20% improvement in the retrieval evaluation metrics for the graph retrieval task. [12] Experiments comparing the proposed technique to similar works were carried out on the TREC Video Retrieval Evaluation (TRECVID) 2003 database. [13] Additionally, we provide a prototype implementation of our theoretical framework as an embedded domain-specific language in Haskell and conduct a meta-analysis on several algorithms submitted to a pattern extraction task of the the Music Information Retrieval Evaluation eXchange (MIREX) over the previous years. [14] In addition, we take a look at the results from the annual benchmark evaluation—Music Information Retrieval Evaluation eXchange—as well as the developments in software implementations. [15] We found that query refinement strategies produced queries that were more effective than the original in terms of six information retrieval evaluation measures.
