In this study, we present a novel buried object identification method for a ground penetrating radar (GPR) and electromagnetic induction sensor (EMI)-based dual sensor hand-held system developed at TUBITAK BILGEM. [1] The application of magnetometers and electromagnetic induction sensors in the detection of UXO is introduced. [2] During BI-KPro surgery, an electromagnetic induction sensor ring enabling telemetric IOP data transfer to a hand-held reading device outside the eye was implanted into the ciliary sulcus with or without transscleral suture fixation. [3] The integrated data included: topography records obtained using a real-time kinetic (RTK) global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receiver, apparent soil electrical conductivity (ECa) obtained using an electromagnetic induction sensor, and content of several naturally occurring radioisotopes detected using a mobile gamma-ray spectrometer.
