What is/are Solanum Surattense?

Plant Solanum Surattense

The phytochemical, antidermatophytic, antioxidant, and nephroprotective properties of the aboveground parts of the traditional medicinal plant Solanum surattense were investigated. ^[1] A Bowman–Birk type trypsin inhibitor protein (SSTI) from seeds of the medicinal plant Solanum surattense was isolated, purified and characterized. ^[2] The plant Solanum surattense has active phytochemicals like saponins, alkaloid, phenols, solamargine, solasurine, solasonine, gum, ascorbic acid, sterols, torvoside K, torvoside L, khasianine, glycosides, flavonoids, aculeatiside A, solamargine, glycoalkaloid, steroidal compound, steroidal alkaloids, polyphenol (caffeic acid), coumarins (esculentin and aesculin), steroids (carpesterol, campesterol, daucosterol, stigmasterol, cycloortanol, and cholesterol), triterpinins, and sapogenin. ^[3]
