To minimize the environmental related issues associated with synthetic fibers, several researchers have explored the potential use of recycled polyester fibers in developing various technical textile products. ^[1] On the basis of the results found on both core materials and prepared vacuum insulating panels, it can be stated that core materials based on primary and recycled polyester fibers represent a great promise for the future. ^[2] Chemically recycled polyester fibers consisting of a core and sheath layer were used to produce nonwoven fabrics for ecofriendly automotive interiors. ^[3] The present study investigated the effect of recycled polyester fiber in combination with nano-SiO2 as a new stabilizer for improving the geotechnical properties of the loess soil. ^[4]
