What is/are Metal Enhanced?

Metal Enhanced - Herein, we show that worm-shaped Au nanoparticles can be used for simultaneous surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) and metal enhanced fluorescence (MEF). ^[1] The primary theranosomes exhibit a metal enhanced fluorescence (MEF) property through localized surface plasmon resonance to act as cancer detectors, whereas the secondary theranosomes act as cancer differentiators through the fluorescence quenching of HeLa cancer cells. ^[2] To improve the sensitivity we created DNA origami optical antennas for metal enhanced fluorescence. ^[3] The fluorescent intensity could be extremely amplified by both the increasing number of fluorophores and metal enhanced fluorescence (MEF) effect. ^[4] Silica (SiO2) coated Erbium doped green emitting core-shell UCNPs (NaYF4: Yb3+, Er3+@SiO2) show conventional metal enhanced fluorescence. ^[5] Based on this interesting phenomenon, a novel metal enhanced fluorescent nanosensor for detecting Zn2+ was established. ^[6] 2—fold metal enhanced single oxygen generation was observed. ^[7] We describe a novel application of Metal Enhanced Fluorescence (MEF) to immunoassays for boosting the signal through a single step modification of the europium nanoparticle based immunoassay with addition of gold nanoparticles. ^[8] With higher Nanoaggregates it was measured an enhanced fluorescence emission effect based on Enhanced Plasmonics (EP) and Metal Enhanced Fluorescence (MEF). ^[9] In order to solve these technical difficulties, the silicon based MEMS S&A device with metal enhanced structure is proposed in this paper. ^[10] In this work, we design new plasmonic paper-based nanoplatforms with interesting capabilities in terms of sensitivity, efficiency, and reproducibility for promoting multimodal biodetection via Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance (LSPR), Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS), and Metal Enhanced Fluorescence (MEF). ^[11] Variations in PL of SiO2 while incorporating Au is attributed to the structural modifications and metal enhanced fluorescence. ^[12] , fluid flow control, surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy, metal enhanced fluorescence etc. ^[13] With the metal enhanced fluorescence effect, the fluorescence turn-on and turn-off were controlled by the formation and disassembly of coordination compound between dyes and copper ions. ^[14]
