To further increase the level of profitability of fine-wool sheep breeding it is of great importance to develop research on the economic and useful characteristics of young Dagestani fine-wool sheep and their crossbreeds with Russian meat merino sheep, depending on the driving and pasture system of keeping. [1] The article studied the meat productivity and exterior features of rams of the Russian meat merino breed. [2] The results of a comprehensive assessment of the runes and morphological studies of the skin and wool coat of a new breed of Russian meat merino in comparison with domestic breeds Manych merino and Stavropol breed have been presented in the article. The article presents the indicators of slaughter, morphological and chemical composition of lamb meat obtained from industrial crossing of Volgograd breed queens with sheep breeds: Poll Dorset, Australian meat merino, North Caucasian meat-wool, Suff olk, Ile-de-France and Merinoland. [1] This work presents the material of research and production experiments on the crossing of stud rams of the North Caucasian meat and wool breed and Australian meat merino with fine wool ewes of a commercial herd. [2] Stavropol breed ewes of the local population were inseminated with sperm of highly productive half-blood Australian meat Merino rams, as a result there was received 1/4AMM+3/4ST offspring.
