What is/are Desulfurized Gypsum?

Desulfurized Gypsum - The effects of desulfurized gypsum, heat-treated desulfurized gypsum and hydrogen peroxide modified desulfurized gypsum on the setting time of Portland cement were studied. ^[1] Desulfurized gypsum (DG) as a soil modifier imparts it with bulk solid sulfite. ^[2] 2% to 99%, the power consumption of the circulating pump is reduced from 380 kWh to 316 kWh, and the moisture content of desulfurized gypsum is reduced from 16% to 9. ^[3] In this paper, the industrial wastes including red mud, fly ash, slag, and desulfurized gypsum are used as basic raw materials to prepare subgrade filling materials. ^[4] This experiment works on red mud, blast furnace slag, desulfurized gypsum, fly ash, and seawater as raw materials to make a marine binding material. ^[5] Industrial wastes, such as steel slag and desulfurized gypsum, are piled up in large quantities and only a very small portion is recycled, adversely impacting natural ecosystems. ^[6] This paper conducts sequential batch extraction experiments on phosphorus gypsum, titanium gypsum and desulfurized gypsum to explore their leaching characteristics and evaluate the hazards of the three types of gypsum. ^[7] Two types of SWs, including fly ash (FA) and desulfurized gypsum (DG), were used to prepare cementitious backfilling materials for underground mined-out areas. ^[8] In the first part, steel slag (SS), blast furnace slag (BFS), fly ash (FA), and desulfurized gypsum (DG) are separately ground and mixed properly to prepare a solid waste AUP, and the effect of the mixture properties on the activity index of the AUP is evaluated. ^[9] Based on the alkali-activated theory, slag and desulfurized gypsum are selected as basic materials, cement (C), lime (L) and silica fume (SF) are chosen as mineral activators. ^[10] In this study, dimethyl silicone oil and liquid paraffin were combined and subsequently emulsified; the resulting mixture was innovatively incorporated into desulfurized gypsum to resolve its drawback of a poor water resistance. ^[11] Received: 19 December 2018 Accepted: 2 February 2019 To control the pollution of industrial solid wastes and noises, this paper prepares foamconcrete sound absorbing materials purely from solid wastes like steel slag (SS), blast furnace slag (BFS) and desulfurized gypsum (DG) , and experimentally explores the effects of fiber content and aluminum powder content on the compressive strength and sound absorption of the foam-concrete prepared jointly by physical and chemical foaming. ^[12] As a relatively fast-setting building material, desulfurized gypsum is difficult to use. ^[13]

Flue gas desulfurized gypsum (FGD gypsum), mainly originates from thermal power plants, smelters, and large-scale enterprise boilers. ^[1] ABSTRACT Integration of flue gas desulfurized gypsum (FGD-gypsum) with cover crops is expected to improve soil quality (SQ). ^[2] To effectively solve the problem of recovery and utilization of flue gas desulfurized gypsum (FGDG), a new method for preparing SO2 gas by adding a mixture of FGDG and pyrite into a boiling furnace and utilizing its high-temperature waste heat is proposed. ^[3]
