Introduction to Behaviour Theory

What is/are Behaviour Theory?

Planned Behaviour Theory

Health Behaviour Theory

By employing appropriate health behaviour theory and/or model as a research framework, researchers will be able to identify relevant variables and translate these into clinical and public health practices. ^[1] It is plausible that SMS reminders developed using the broader framework of the interpersonal health behaviour theory(ies) may have positive outcome. ^[2] We present a taxonomy that attempts to explain the contributions in this field including health behaviour theory, cybernetic action-behaviour models, social cognitive theory, and control theory. ^[3] Health behaviour theory (HBT) has been used for decades to successfully predict and modify many health behaviours, but its use in the study of sleep health is rare. ^[4] ABSTRACT Self-regulation processes assume a major role in health behaviour theory and are postulated as important mechanisms of action in behavioural interventions to improve health prevention and management. ^[5] Therefore, risk perception as a concept truly deserves its place in health behaviour theory and behaviour change interventions. ^[6]

Problem Behaviour Theory

These principles are applied to two influential risk behaviour theories—the social development model and problem behaviour theory—to illustrate how existing theory can be clarified and developed. ^[1] OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to use the constructs of conventional and unconventional behaviours identified in Problem Behaviour Theory (PBT) under the behaviour system to examine whether driver licensure status in youth was associated with conventional, health-enhancing behaviours or unconventional, health compromising, risky behaviours. ^[2] This study will adopt two theoretical foundations namely: Ecological Systems Theory and Problem Behaviour theory. ^[3] BACKGROUND Problem behaviour theory postulates that different forms of norm violations cluster and can be explained by similar antecedents. ^[4]

Helping Behaviour Theory

This study is among the first to examine local food-buying behaviour through the lens of prosocial helping behaviour theory. ^[1] Data analysis was performed using Structural Equation Modelling technique with the help of SmartPLS application, indicating that the hypothesis which are variables from Helping Behaviour theory i. ^[2]

Organizational Behaviour Theory

This study contributes to the organizational behaviour theory, especially leadership in MSMEs during crisis. ^[1] Exploration of theory is begun from the definition of e-services, the explanation of public choice theory and organizational behaviour theory in public administration until the model of citizen use and acceptance of e-services. ^[2]

Organisational Behaviour Theory

Drawing from Positive Organisational Behaviour theory, this research studies the interrelationships of psychological capital, burnout, and quality of work-life with the highlighted moderation of organisational and personal characteristics. ^[1] Further, it also adds to existing understanding of organisational behaviour theory. ^[2]
