Algae Laden Water - Thus, a novel process of coupling sodium percarbonate (SPC) oxidation and PACl coagulation was proposed, integrated with membrane filtration for algae-laden water treatment. ^[1] Algal growth strongly affects the change in characteristics of algal organic matter (AOM) in algae-laden water. ^[2] Ultrasound-enhanced coagulation is capable of effectively removing algal cells in algae-laden water. ^[3] This study provides a significant understanding of the membrane fouling mechanism of IOM and is beneficial for developing some strategies for membrane fouling control when treating MA and CV algae-laden waters. ^[4] It was reported that the introduction of chemical oxidants such as chlorine, potassium permanganate, and ozone in algae-laden water pretreatment could improve algae removal by the subsequent solid-liquid separation processes. ^[5] Inhibiting algae-induced membrane fouling has become an extremely challenging work in algae-laden water treatment. ^[6] Therefore, when using UF to treat algae-laden water, the balance of membrane fouling and organic matter removal should be considered to meet the needs of practical applications. ^[7] The efficacy of applying gas phase surface discharge non-thermal plasma (NTP) combined with anion-exchange processes for algae-laden water treatment was evaluated. ^[8] This study compared the treatment efficiency of Mn-containing and algae-laden water using either permanganate pre-oxidation (KMnO4) or persulfate/iron(II) (PMS/Fe2+) enhanced coagulation as pretreatment for ceramic membrane ultrafiltration. ^[9] 0 and 50 mg L−1 dose of PAC was a good practical application to treat microalgae laden water at the stationary growth phase. ^[10]
