[2] She was previously healthy and her family history was remarkable for brain tumors. [3] Majority of injured children were previously healthy. [4] We report a case of a young man, previously healthy, presenting with fever, hypotension requiring vasopressors and pancytopenia. [5] She was previously healthy until 15 years of age and was subsequently diagnosed with hypogammaglobulinemia, protein-losing enteropathy, a benign temporal lobe brain lesion/orbital fibroadenoma, autoimmune hepatitis, iron deficiency anaemia and hypothyroidism. A previously healthy 3-year-old boy presented to the department of respiratory medicine with a 7-day history of persistent high fever, violent cough and worsening dyspnea. [1] Methods: A previously healthy 3-year-old girl presented to the emergency room with fever, rash, diarrhea, altered mental status, and hypotension. [2] A previously healthy 3-year-old female with mild gross motor and language delays presented to a local emergency department with the sudden onset of decreased level of consciousness and generalized hypotonia. [3] A previously healthy, 3-year-old girl developed acute-onset high-grade fever, jaundice, and irritability over the past 2 weeks followed by recurrent, generalized tonic–clonic seizures and encephalopathy. [4] A previously healthy 3-year-old girl was admitted to the inpatient general pediatrics floor with a 2-week history of fevers, unilateral cervical lymphadenopathy, and stomatitis. [5] We describe a case of a previously healthy 3-year-old boy with a mild delay in speech development until the acute onset of a refractory status epilepticus with subsequent epileptic encephalopathy and very poor neurologic outcome.
