What is/are Regulating Sox2?

Regulating Sox2 - Downregulating SOX2-OT inhibited HCC cell malignant behaviors. ^[1] We performed this study to explore the impact of exosomal lncRNA urothelial cancer-associated 1 (UCA1) in CC stem cells by sponging microRNA-122-5p (miR-122-5p) and regulating SOX2 expression. ^[2] Down-regulating SOX2 or CCAT1 and up-regulating miR-185-3p resulted in inhibition of proliferation, invasion, migration and cell sphere number as well as apoptosis acceleration of CD44 + HeLa cells. ^[3] Furthermore, INPP4B was found to modulate the stemness of CR-CSLCs by regulating Sox2 and Nanog expression, which was dependent on PI3K/PTEN/Akt signaling. ^[4] The role of PERK appeared to be pleiotropic involving UPR-dependent, as well as novel identified noncanonical mechanisms regulating SOX2. ^[5] MSC‐DFNotch1−/− increased stemness of CD271+ MIC, which resultantly exhibited stronger aggressiveness in vitro and in vivo, by upregulating Sox2/Oct4/Nanog expression. ^[6] Altogether, our data suggest that MTA3 is capable of repressing TSCC CSC properties and tumor growth through downregulating SOX2 and MTA3low/SOX2high might be a potential prognostic factor for TSCC patients. ^[7] By down-regulating SOX2 through inactivation of FBXW2 E3 ligase, MLN4924 sensitizes breast cancer cells to tamoxifen in both in vitro and in vivo cancer cell models. ^[8] That SOX2OT promotes stemness characteristics and drug-resistance of bladder cancer cells through regulating SOX2 may represent a target for clinical intervention. ^[9] Recently, we have shown that CDK1 plays a critical role in stochastic stemness and tumor initiation potential through regulating SOX2 phosphorylation in multiple cancer types. ^[10]
