What is/are Recycled Glass?

Mechanically Recycled Glass

Mechanically recycled glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) has increasingly been reused in concrete, while its physicochemical properties need to be tailored for achieving effective reinforcement. ^[1] ,For this purpose, a low-cost liquid deposition modeling technology was used to extrude photo-curable and thermally curable composite inks, composed of an acrylate-based resin loaded with different amounts of mechanically recycled glass fiber reinforced composites (GFRCs). ^[2]

Expanded Recycled Glass

Two expanded recycled glass aggregates (Growstone® and Poraver®) and a lightweight expanded clay aggregate (Hydroton®) were evaluated, having a d50 range from 6 to 12 mm. ^[1] Moreover, in sample 7, the use of the expanded recycled glass as aggregate opens new possibilities for reducing the carbon footprint of the process. ^[2]
