Introduction to Rapid Composting

Rapid composting by black soldier fly larvae (BSFL) may be insufficient to maturation and humification of composting and further composting is necessary.

We have developed a rapid composting system to make sludge fertilizer using mix of waste sludge and shredded newspaper (Sludge Fertilizer Made by Paper Mixing Method, SF-PMM).

The study aimed to determine the factors that influenced the utilization of rapid composting technology of the farmers in Zambales who had undergone training under the Expanded Rapid Modified Composting (EMRC) program.
