What is/are Horizontal Layered?

Horizontal Layered - Based on fracture mechanics and material mechanics we establish a calculation method for the interlayer load and stability coefficient of horizontal layered dangerous rock during strong earthquakes. ^[1] Horizontal layered formations with a suite of vertical or near-vertical fractures are usually assumed to be an approximate orthotropic medium and are more suitable for estimating fracture properties with wide-azimuth prestack seismic data in shale reservoirs. ^[2] The technical characteristics of five geologic exploration methods applied to fine geodetic electrical exploration are first compared, and the linear filtering considering depth of burial and the transmission line model has been proposed to solve the problem of high theoretical difficulty and complicated algorithm in solving the fine earth model of the horizontal layered DC grounding pole. ^[3] In the mountainous area of southwest China, the horizontal layered steep slopes with weak intercalations are widely distributed. ^[4] The results show that: with the increase of the inclination of the bedding plane, the horizontal and vertical deformation of the bedding plane first increase and then decrease, showing a “Λ”-shaped change characteristic; in horizontal layered surrounding rock, as the prestress of bolt support increases, the strength of the weak rock layer gradually increases, and the surface displacement of the bedding plane gradually decreases; the plastic zone of the surrounding rock with different dip angles has a significant “angle effect”, and the angle between the bolt and the bedding surface has a significant difference in the control effect of the bedding plane; based on the simulation results when the inclination angle is 15°, field practice is carried out. ^[5] For large cross-section tunnel in horizontal layered rock mass, blasting excavation often causes serious overbreak and underbreak. ^[6] The technical characteristics of five geologic exploration methods applied to fine geodetic electrical exploration are first compared, and the linear filtering considering depth of burial and the transmission line model has been proposed to solve the problem of high theoretical difficulty and complicated algorithm in solving the fine earth model of the horizontal layered DC grounding pole, and a validated case is presented. ^[7] To study the occurrence mechanism and evolution law of invert heave disease of railway tunnel in horizontal layered rock mass, both field investigation and numerical simulations were carried out, and the influence of layer thickness of layered rock mass and horizontal in-situ stresses were discussed. ^[8] For large cross-section tunnel in horizontal layered rock mass, tunnel blasting often causes serious overbreak and underbreak. ^[9] Due to the symmetry of the horizontal layered media, the Green function, representing the seismic fields due to a point source, can be written in the form of Sommerfeld integral in cylindrical coordinate system and be calculated by the proposed method. ^[10] In this study, the seabed is assumed to be a horizontal layered elastic medium, and the error function is established according to the sound pressure field in the water layer and bayesian theory. ^[11] The Fourier spectrum and response spectrum characteristics in the horizontal site are first investigated in this study, and the dynamic responses of the inclined layered sites are then studied and compared to the corresponding responses of the horizontal layered site. ^[12] However, traditional based-ray approaches are mostly based on the assumption of horizontal layered media, and its performance is unsatisfactory in dip situations. ^[13] We also derive a theoretical bound on the recovery error in the case of horizontal layered sub-terrain. ^[14] This error conforms to the practical situation of horizontal layered mining of steep seam and verified the reliability of the proposed model. ^[15] The stratum is a horizontal layered rock mass and a three-level surrounding rock. ^[16] The surrounding rock of tunnel was medium-thick horizontal layered limestone. ^[17]
