Introduction to Gold Gratings

The growth of a polymer film at room temperature was achieved via plasmon-induced homolysis of alkoxyamines covalently attached to the surface of plasmon-active gold gratings at room temperature.

Here, we report transient absorption (TA) experiments on gold gratings with a 500 nm period pumped with a short pulse centered at 680 nm, reasonably far from the plasmon resonance.

40  J/cm2 at a pulse duration of 32 fs, which is twice more than that of gold gratings, and the initial damage comes from nodule defects.
