What is/are Double Complex?

Double Complex - The double complex salt [AuEn2]2[Pt(NO2)4]3·6H2O was used as such precursor. ^[1] High surface area Pt3Co BNN was prepared by reduction of [Co(NH3)5Cl][PtCl4] double complex salt crystals. ^[2] The new water-soluble double complex salts (DCSs) with aqua and oxalato ligands, [M(H2O)6][Pd(Ox)2]·nH2O (M = Co2+, Ni2+; n = 2, 4; Ox = C2O42−), were obtained, structurally characterized (single-crystal XRD) and used as precursors for M–Pd nanoalloys. ^[3] Two double complex salts containing [RuNO(NO2)4OH]2− anion and [PdL4]2+ cations (L = NH3, Py) were prepared and described by IR-spectroscopy, single crystal and powder XRD. ^[4] Application in the double complex area of the Tarim Basin showed the four-parameter tomographic inversion equation derived in this paper to be both correct and practical and that the migration algorithm was able to adapt to the complex surface. ^[5] Bimetallic Pt-Co/η-Al2O3/FeCrAl wire mesh composite catalyst was prepared via decomposition of double complex salt [Pt(NH3)4][Co(C2O4)2(H2O)2]·2H2O nanoparticles inside the pores of η-Al2O3 coating and tested in total and preferential CO oxidation. ^[6] A new double complex, [trans-Cr(N3)2(Me2tn)2]3[Cr(N3)4(Me2tn)]2ClO4 (Me2tn = 2,2-dimethylpropane-1,3-diamine), was prepared, and its structure determined through single-crystal X-ray diffraction at 100 K. ^[7] These complexes include, among others, the second polymorph of Ph3Sn(thiocytosine), the double complex salt Ph3Sn(methimazole)2·Ph3SnCl2, and five-coordinated triphenyltin chloride with methimazole, tetrahydopyrimidine-2-thione, dimethylformamide, and dimethyl sulfoxide. ^[8] Double complex salts [Ln(C6H5NO2)3(H2O)2][Cr(NCS)6] · 2H2O, Ln = Lu (I), Ce (II), Y (III), have been synthesized by the reaction between aqueous solutions of Ln(NO3)3 (Ln = Lu, Ce, Y), K3[Cr(NCS)6], and nicotinic acid (C5H5NCOO). ^[9] We show that both cases are instances of a more general construction of double complexes associated to graphs. ^[10] A series of four isostructural double complex salts are prepared on the basis of [M1(NH3)6]3+ cations and [M2(C2O4)3]3– anions, where M1 = Co, Ir, M2 = Fe, Cr. ^[11] Some kinds of the plate-like hexagonal layered double complex hydroxides (named Ni-Fe-Sr-LDHs) materials were prepared for energy storage electrodes in this work. ^[12]
