## What is/are Confined Two Dimensional?

Confined Two Dimensional - Direct current in confined two-dimensional (2d) electron systems can become unstable with respect to the excitation of plasmons.^{[1]}Our results offer an alternative perspective on the spontaneous fragmentation of the superconducting background in confined two-dimensional systems.
