Introduction to Chaohu Lake

This paper presented the historical data on the temporal trends of polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) in the sediment cores collected from the Huaihe River, Yellow River and Chaohu Lake, China.

This paper took Chaohu Lake Basin, with a concentrated and complicated water environment, as the research object and divided it into eastern and western halves.

ABSTRACT Chaohu lake and its surrounding have received considerable attention in terms of water and sediment pollution investigations.

Five surface sediment samples were collected every two months from the Shiwuli River along an urban-rural gradient, Chaohu Lake Basin, from July 2017 to May 2018.
