Anion Cluster - The [Mo7O24]6− anion clusters can bind with massive Zn ions to produce a Zn-rich film, thus ensuring the uniform distribution of Zn ions on the surface of the Zn anode, while the NH4+ cation can further regulate the even Zn deposition during plating via electrostatic repulsion forces. ^[1] The structural evolution pattern and electronic properties of Lu-doped germanium anion clusters, LuGen- (n = 5-17), have been investigated using a global search method combined with a double hybrid density functional theory and by comparing the theoretical PES spectra with the experimental ones. ^[2] However, there are almost no reviews or books focusing on the progress and future of closo-[B12H12]2−; this is detrimental to the full development of the potential of this functional anion cluster. ^[3] The dissociative photodetachment of the hydrated superoxide anion cluster, O2-·H2O + hν → O2 + H2O + e-, is theoretically investigated using path-integral and ring-polymer molecular dynamics simulation methods, which can account for nuclear quantum effects. ^[4] Additionally, we show that even without statistical modeling, temperature-dependent rate constants as a function of metal anion cluster size can be used to show that such species react by the same mechanism as surfaces. ^[5] Polyoxometalates (POMs), a class of metal oxide polyanion clusters, can serve as outstanding candidates in energy-related fields like electrocatalysis, rechargeable battery, photocatalysis, and proton conduction, based on their plentiful redox property, semiconductor-like feature and acidity. ^[6] We apply ab initio path integral molecular dynamics simulation employing ωB97XD as the quantum chemical calculation method to acetic acid–arsenic acid anion and acetic acid–phosphoric acid anion clusters to investigate the difference of the hydrogen bond structure and its fluctuation such as proton transfer. ^[7] The framework was built from [V12B18O54(OH)6(H2O)]10− polyanion clusters bridged by Zn(en) complex fragments. ^[8] New insights into aluminum anion cluster reactivity with O2 were obtained through temperature-dependent kinetics measurements. ^[9] Mass-selected aluminum anion clusters, Aln-, were reacted with 3O2. ^[10] We present a theoretical investigation of the hydrated hydroxide anion clusters, OH(H2O)n-, and of the collisional complexes, H-OH(H2O)n- and Rb-OH(H2O)n- (with n = 1-4). ^[11] The pure B7− anion cluster performs even better than the doped clusters in CO2 capture ability. ^[12]
