Comunicar, Scientific Journal of Media Education, is published by Grupo Comunicar Ediciones (VAT: G21116603). This established non-profit professional group, founded in 1988 in Spain, specialises in the field of media education. The journal has been printed continuously since 1993, published every three months (4 issues and 40 manuscripts). Fundamentally, research papers related to communication and education, and especially the intersection between the two fields: media education, educational media and resources, educational technology, IT and electronic resources, audiovisual, technologies... Reports, studies, proposals and review articles (state-of-the-art articles) relating to these subjects are also accepted, provided their innovative ideas and original contributions. None

¿Qué es el factor de impacto?
El factor de impacto (FI) se utiliza con frecuencia como indicador de la importancia de una revista en su campo. Fue presentado por primera vez por Eugene Garfield, el fundador del Instituto de Información Científica. Aunque las instituciones y los médicos utilizan ampliamente la FI, las personas tienen una idea errónea generalizada sobre el método para calcular la FI de la revista, su importancia y cómo se puede utilizar. El FI de una revista no está asociado a factores como la calidad del proceso de revisión por pares y la calidad del contenido de la revista, sino que es una medida que refleja el número promedio de citas a artículos publicados en revistas, libros, tesis, informes de proyectos, periódicos. , actas de conferencias / seminarios, documentos publicados en Internet, notas y cualquier otro documento aprobado.
El factor de impacto se usa comúnmente para evaluar la importancia relativa de una revista dentro de su campo y para medir la frecuencia con la que el “artículo promedio” en una revista ha sido citado en un período de tiempo particular. La revista que publique más artículos de revisión obtendrá los IF más altos. Se cree que las revistas con FI más altas son más importantes que las que tienen menos. Según Eugene Garfield, "el impacto simplemente refleja la capacidad de las revistas y los editores para atraer el mejor artículo disponible".
